Global Routers Market to Reach US$35.9 Billion by 2017, According to a New Report by Global Industry Analysts, Inc.

San Jose, California (PRWEB) November 10, 2011

Follow us on LinkedIn - As a core component of computer networks, routers enable efficient data traffic management and are used at every level in the Internet. For example, routers in access networks enable small businesses and homes to connect to an Internet service provider whereas routers in enterprise networks connect thousands of computers within an enterprise. In a backbone network, routers interconnect enterprise networks and ISPs with long distance trunks. Increasing network adoption, rapid growth of the Internet, and growing data traffic in key verticals such as information technology (IT), IT enabled services (ITES), and banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) remain the engines of growth for the worldwide router market. The ever-changing market dynamics and business needs are compelling enterprises to seek new router platforms to deliver multi-service applications along with voice, security, data services and optimization simultaneously.

World market for routers declined in the years 2008 & 2009 primarily due to the global economic downturn and associated market uncertainty, which resulted in reduced spending in global service provider, enterprise, and commercial markets. Fall in the business confidence index, bleeding corporate balance sheets, enterprise skepticism over infrastructure investments, tight liquidity/financial constraints, lack of credit availability, high borrowing rates and capital shortages to fund new investments in telecommunications, IT infrastructure, plants and equipment, have all sent ripples of unrest in the market between the period 2008 and 2009. Faced with uncertain and bleak future, the telecommunication sector, one of the principal end-use markets for router systems presented a tired outlook during 2007 through 2009 period. The effect of the economic slowdown was evident on the global telecommunications industry. This seriously hampered the demand for router systems with core and edge routers, mid-range, low-end, and high-end router product categories reporting declining sales. While steep decline in growth rates was witnessed in developed markets such as the North America and Europe, emerging Asian economies such as China and India posted relatively better performance.

Although flayed by the recent recession, the global router market is forecast to recover poise, driven by resurgence in networking, telecommunication functions and continuous data and network services, which will push the markets growth fundamentals back into fore. In fiscal 2010, the router industry staged a solid V-shaped recovery across geographies, product and customer markets exemplified by gradually recovering global economy and increased demand for mobile devices, video transmission, and new online services. Shipments and revenues of IP core and edge router in North America picked up significantly in the year 2010, as telecom and network operators reinstated capital expenditures to handle more traffic, especially video and video over broadband, as well as data and photos over mobile networks. Given the undeniable importance of networking systems in growing economies, developing markets are forecast to emerge to drive growth in the post recession period. Continuous investments in industry and telecommunications infrastructure by governments in these regions will additionally drive growth.

Rapid increase IP traffic, driven by increased usage of video and voice over IP, rising popularity of bandwidth-intensive devices, network-based businesses and applications, NAS devices, cloud computing, and virtualization will continue to drive market prospects for routers in the short to medium term period, as increase in IP traffic will compel network planners to install core, edge, and aggregation routers in complex hierarchies. Improvements in Internet speeds, and network bandwidth capacity coupled with rising popularity of 3D and HDTV, will propel market for routers in long-term. The need to upgrade legacy networks to address the bandwidth and scalability issues faced by network operators and service providers due to growing consumption of bandwidth-hungry video services across various networks and devices will also drive future market prospects for routers in the years to come. In order to transform legacy networks into more secure, scalable and open broadband frameworks, carrier networks are fast transitioning to packet-based Ethernet networks that enable lower cost, higher throughput, and uniform technology across access and metro networks. Going prominence of enterprise mobility and workforce virtualization in enterprises will also boost market prospects for routers over the next few years, as enterprise mobility pushes demand for mobile routers, which can even offer connectivity to multiple interfaces.

As stated by the new market research report on Routers, Asia-Pacific represents the fastest growing regional market for routers with revenue from the region waxing at a CAGR of about 16.4% over the analysis period. Growth in the market is especially driven by continuous investments made by governments in industry and telecommunications infrastructure in respective nations, and widespread availability of competitively priced products. Service Providers represents the fastest growing end-use segment for routers.

Major players in the marketplace include 2Wire Inc, ADTRAN Inc, Alcatel-Lucent, Allied Telesis Inc, ASUSTeK Computer Inc., Belkin International Inc, Brocade Communications Systems Inc, Buffalo Technology (USA), Inc., Ciena Corporation, Cisco Systems Inc, D-Link Systems Inc, Enterasys Networks Inc, Extreme Networks Inc, Hewlett-Packard Company, Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd, Intel Corp, Juniper Networks Inc, Motorola Inc, NETGEAR, Inc, Siemens AG, SMC Networks Inc, Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson, TELLABS, INC., and ZyXel Communications Corporation.

The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness Calls Upon Apple Inc. to Change New IMAC Campaign Claiming That, "You Can't Be Too Thin. Or Too Powerful."

North Palm Beach, FL (PRWEB) August 20, 2007

The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness reacted today to the new Apple Inc IMAC Campaign, "The new iMac. You can't be too thin. Or too powerful." The Alliance questions, "What kind of message is Apple sending our youth with an ad campaign of this nature?"

The truth is one CAN be too thin. According to the American Psychological Association, in the United States alone 7 -10 million individuals are struggling with eating disorders. Of that 10 to 20 percent of them will not survive their struggle. Eating disorders not only have extreme physical and mental repercussions - including the highest mortality rate among all psychological disorders but they also act as a barrier for personal growth, achievement, education, and success. We live in a society in which Messages from the media are influential and they do make a difference.

"As not only the Executive Director of The Alliance, but also a recovering anorectic and exercise bulimic, I must say that I find the new IMAC campaign troubling and extremely triggering," said Johanna Kandel. "Apple's revamping of the Duchess of Windsor's adage draws a direct connection between being thin and being powerful. While this concept may work well from a technological perspective, it can become deadly in the eyes of an individual that is genetically predisposed to developing an eating disorder."

According to a study by Gaesser (1996), over 1/2 the females between the ages of 18-25 would prefer to be run over by a truck then be fat, and 2/3 surveyed would rather be mean or stupid. Many individuals define their self worth, their happiness, their successes on their ability to achieve the ultimate "ideal." The struggle goes on indefinitely until death demands it cannot go on anymore. This is the struggle that The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness and like organizations fight on a daily basis. This is the struggle millions of Americans, both male and female, endure.

The Alliance is concerned that the new IMAC Campaign, while well intentioned, has the potential to push a young girl with low self-esteem into a deadly disease or trigger a person struggling with recovery back into the throws of an eating disorder. "The negative implications are too numerous to count. There must be a better way to sell computers then to utilize this dangerous slogan," said Ms. Kandel.

In October of 2000, The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness (The Alliance) was created as a source of community outreach, education, awareness, and prevention of the various eating disorders currently plaguing our nation. Since its inception, The Alliance has offered presentations on eating disorders and their prevention to over 60,000 individuals, as well as advocates for change in eating disorders legislation. Through presentations, workshops, phone and email support, treatment referrals, support groups, and information packets, the Alliance offers opportunities for individuals to receive the information the need free of charge.

An interview with Mr. Swagato Gangopadhyay, the Founder/Owner/CEO of The Rozaleenda Group, Inc., the global provider of web, media, e-business and telecom solutions.

(PRWEB) May 5, 2004

Ms. Melissa Jensinel (Chief Director, Public Relations) has recently taken a comprehensive interview of Mr. Swagato Gangopadhyay, the Founder/Owner/CEO of The Rozaleenda Group, Inc. (W2N.net), the global provider of web, media, e-business and telecom solutions. In this elaborate interview, he has told us more about him, details about his career, the future plans and various milestones of his company The Rozaleenda Group, Inc.

•• First, tell us about you and your company briefly...

I have started the whole thing professionally in 1996 when I was just 19 years old. From my childhood, I have few dreams in my mind, and I have always tried to be in the right track in my life so that I can fulfill them. One of those dreams is to own a group of several companies. Though started as a single company, The Rozaleenda Group, Inc. has now become the group of over 30 companies, having more than 45 offices across 25 countries, and moreover, a very well-known brand name worldwide. It offers specialized solutions for internet, multimedia, animation, graphics, digital audio and video, software development, telecommunication, encoding and streaming media, web-based solutions, IT training, etc. Today, my company has one of the fastest website (W2N.net) of the world, by beating some of the major internet giants like CNN, Google, Yahoo, MSN, Amazon, ESPN, Disney, eBay, etc. Also, we have developed more than 300 websites till date, which is a record of its kind.

•• About your career in general...

Though academically I am a Graduate in Commerce and Business Administration, I have successfully completed many foreign courses in various fields, such as Web/Media Development, Business Administration, Quality Management, etc. I have done a mini MBA course from a reputed business house of Canada. Also, I have been awarded as the 'First Rank Holder In The World' in various hard-to-get international degrees from Adobe, Macromedia, Ulead, and British Computer Society, etc. I stood first in many a number of examinations and degrees that have been taken by very well known and prestigious organizations and universities, such as Sheridan College (Canada), Virtual Trading University (USA), U.S. Dept. of Electronic Commerce, Cheltenham Computer Training Institute (UK), etc.

•• What about your career in music and creative writing...

Initially, my career was in Music and Creative Writing. I have started my first career in about 1993, and have successfully done hundreds of musical works for Films, TV Serials, TV Advertisements, Tele-films and other mediums, in both Bengali and Hindi languages. Music is no doubt the foremost thing for me to love, since my childhood. Music is one of the best things I have found by which I can express the creativity that I think I must produce to the rest of the world. Another field of my passion is creative writing. I have been contributing articles and news stories of different categories to some recognized news agencies, syndication services, news bureaus, magazines, online journals, portals and news sites on a regular basis. I am actively involved in writing technical documentations, white papers, manuals, brochures and courseware. Also, for some well known Internet-based firms and online publication houses, I had written many white papers and designed numerous eye-catching brochures over the past few years.

•• And, your career in the computer field...

As I have told you already, Computer is the next best thing for me to love after music. In those early days of technologies in India, when my knowledge about computer was very meager, I had spontaneously decided to build up my professional career in the field of information technology. I built my academic days in such a way, that I could pursue that career, by using the knowledge of which, I can create my dreams into reality. Though I have worked in several companies like Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Hanna Barbara, Webel MediaTronix, Digital-Compaq, Abyss InfoTech, Flamingo Overseas, and Shiva Symphony, etc, I can not find the way out by which I can proceed according to my dreams. This was the time when I had decided to set up my own company in 1996. Everybody in my family was opposed to my decision, since I was just 19 then, and also nobody is in business in my entire family circle. Now I can very happily say that I have proved myself in front of everybody that I am in the most appropriate track to achieve my future goals.

•• Tell us about the awards and achievements you have received...

In the last 10 months or so, I have received more than 60 prestigious and very well known international awards and trophies for various creative achievements like Web Designing and Development, Media Creations, Animations, Graphics, Music and Creative Writing, etc. Almost all the famous and world's best awards are in my possession now, and definitely I am very much proud of getting so many positive responses from around the world, regarding my creations and designed works. Apart from these numerous acknowledgements, we own the largest Ecommerce network (W2BUY.com) of the world, and the widest Portal network (Rozaleenda.com) too. We have also launched the biggest 'International Banking & Financial Service' (Zenixa.com) company, and most gorgeous online community (Questz.com) of the whole world.

•• What were the milestones of your company from the launch until today...

Every day and every moment is somehow a milestone for us. At a regular interval, since our inception in 1996, Rozaleenda builds lasting and meaningful strategic partnerships with the industry leaders and corporate giants. Our solutions, products, services and technologies make us a popular partner for a wide range of companies around the world.

1997 was the same year when, among with the other sister concerns, our web hosting (W2ISP.com) as well as telecom (W2TEL.com) divisions born. In 2000, a major Internet property has rated us as one of the most creative web design firm. Also, we have achieved several other prestigious web and media awards for our various astounding work portfolios, in the previous years. We have built the largest E-Commerce network (W2BUY) of 30 web based online storefronts, also in 2000.

In 2001, we have invented and developed a new web programming technique called 'The èÿéPulse'. Just after a few months of its public release, it became one of the most preferred scripting languages among the serious web developers. Also in 2001, we have announced that we are developing two of the biggest web sites of the world. The first one is the biggest and most comprehensive portal Rozaleenda.com, and the second is the largest vortal directory called W2HUB.com. In the second half of 2001, we have opened three new corporate offices at New York, London and Frankfurt, to expand our business throughout the various parts of the world, and to maximize the power of global communication to the potential customers.

In 2002, we have moved our hosting division (W2ISP.com) to the multi-million dollar state-of-the-art data center at Orlando (Florida), and revamped all of our hosting plans to suit all the possible needs of both of our existing and prospective customers. According to the recent trends and emerging technologies, we have also totally redesigned our media-rich corporate site (W2N.net) and all of our solutions portals. We are now planning to setup our web hosting division with another state-of-the-art NOC (Network Operations Center) located at Newark (USA), with a redundant OC-192 (10 GBPS) connectivity.

•• Please tell us about the goals you have planned for the near future...

Obviously there are a number of goals of mine, which I think I must accomplish in the future. Though they are from different sectors, their origins are almost similar. By trying to translate those dreams into reality, I would like to make the best use of my creative faculty and imaginative power. Regarding my business, I am now actively busy setting up the whole new developmental office at Kolkata (India) with the latest technologies and hi-end infrastructure. In the Music sector, I have a concrete plan to release many music albums (in both Bengali, Hindi and English) in very near future, written and composed by me. Also, again in the business front, I am almost ready to set up the world's biggest online banking and financial service company, which will serve its solutions in almost every country worldwide. And, I am designing one of the most creative and comprehensive mini cities that will be situated in Kolkata (India) in the future. It will have a multi-storied shopping plaza, multiplex, amusement park and many other entertainment items.
